Wagrowiec is the town with a very well developed sports infrastructure and rich cultural offer. The most popular sport in the town is handball- the MKS Nielba team represents the town in the top handball league. Wagrowiec is also the place with rich football, sailing and canoeing traditions - the football team plays in the national second league. The town can be proud of its very well developed sports infrastructure, which includes, but is not limited to, the sports centre with two football pitches, including one with the artificial grass, and the sports hall with a handball court and tennis courts. In addition, in the town there is the Aquapark with a sports swimming pool as well as the town's beach and numerous bike trails.

In Wagrowiec, there are several choirs, music groups and theatrical groups, which are very active. Many attractive cultural events are held during the year, among other things as a part of the Days of Wagrowiec (July 25) and the Summer in Paluki, which takes place every year from June until the end of August.
